Graduation ceremonies will now take place on Friday, June 3, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center. Because of the extra snow days utilized by ACSC, it was necessary to add days to the 2010-11 school calendar in order to meet state law requirements. The students’ school year will now end on Monday, June 6, 2011.

After hearing requests for simplified access to online resources, ACSC recently unveiled a new website portal for Avon parents and guardians. ACSC Assis- tant Technology Director, Jason Brames, says, “Parents were asking us for a means by which they could login once and get access to all their applications, such as mylunchmoney.com or PowerParent. We recognized their concerns and diligently worked this year to meet that need.” The new Avon Portal is a way for parents/ guardians of Avon Students to login at a single loca- tion and access a variety of Avon’s technology re- sources. Technology resources include: PowerParent, mylunchmoney.com, Versatrans E-link (bus routes) and E-funds. In the past, logins were required to be entered each time these different sites were visited. Brames explained that, after months of beta testing, the Portal is now ready for public access.
